Pop-A-Corn: Really AR Mobile Game
Pop-A-Corn is a mobile shoot and score came hosted exclusively on the Really app. Users play by placing down a movie theater lobby-themed game map and select their level. Each level contains a series of movie theater buckets that players must successful shoot a kernel into to score points. As the levels progress, the game introduces more obstacles and challenges.
For this project, the production team was tasked with redesigning the game brand identity and revamping the levels and game progression. We concepted and introduced a game map styled after traditional movie theater lobbies with a custom rug featuring Really's brand colors and logo. For the art direction, the game pulls from a retro 1980s and vaporwave aesthetic to play upon the game's thematic focus on popcorn at the theater and the movie-going experience.
